Thank you to Air New Zealand management, staff and celebs who put on such fantastic entertainment on the 4 hour Dreamliner flight, taking in the sights of our beautiful country, this is a day these young people will never forget !!
The Air New Zealand flight took off from Auckland with Koru Care kids from all around New Zealand. There were 18 children from Koru Care Christchurch. Some of the special guests on board were TV personality Erin Simpson, All Blacks legend Josh Kronfeld and Air New Zealand's very own Christopher Luxon.
Air New Zealand staff were dressed up in a range of costumes, from super heroes, comic book heroes, princesses and villains ;Angry birds, Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Storm, and Buzz Lightyear were all abroad. The kids really just loved this!
The kids got to enjoy an exclusive screening of the film Angry Birds which was not released in New Zealand at the time, while enjoying a delicious lunch and treats.
They flew south over Mount Cook and the Southern Alps, flying low over Invercargill and Dunedin before heading back to Auckland over the Central Plateau. It was a real treat for some Southerns to see the Dreamliner fly so low over the towns and villages.
